The rationale for periodontal plastic surgery was restoration of function, health and esthetics of periodontium from augmentation procedures. The subepithelial connective tissue graft is the gold standard to achieve desirable root coverage. Difficulty arises with the presence of shallow vestibule with no keratinized gingiva and a strong frenum attachment.
